Backstory/History - aka, where they have been between DH and Ascendant, and beyond:
After the majority of the students returned to their homes, Terry was part of the group who remained behind at the school to help to rebuild. That seemed so much easier to him than the destruction had been; it was much more positive, which he appreciated. When September rolled around, Terry finished off his last year and took his NEWTs. In his mind, there was no choice. He knew what he wanted to do with himself and to do that he needed those NEWTs.
He left Hogwarts and moved back in with his parents in London while he went through training at Gringotts to be a Curse Breaker. He was working with one of his best friends from school, Padma Patil, which made things even more fun for him. In what little spare time he had, he learned a few more spoken and written languages, bringing the count to ten. His parents kept trying to nudge him out of the house, but Terry was firmly planted, in a way not wanting to even think about leaving. Except he knew that he had to, especially since he always thought that guys living with their parents when they have a full-paying job like he did were pathetic. So when Padma’s sister moved out and she started looking for a new roommate Terry’s parents jumped at the chance to get their son on his own two feet. And he was excited about it too, but he didn’t show it.
So, now Terry lives with Padma a small, one bedroom flat in Clerkenwell. They travel often because of their job and the flat is filled with artifacts. Artifacts and books. Oh, and Terry’s chalkboards. Recently in his spare time he has started playing hockey with a few of his Muggle cousins who still live up in Leeds. He used to play with them when he was younger, hockey being the only sport that he was ever really interested in.
